World Ducati Week 2016

Car-Shooters has participated for the first year at the World Ducati Week, an event organized every two years by the factory from Borgo Panigale dedicated to all the fans of the brand, who enjoyed an amazing event! A red tide has invaded for this ninth edition, coinciding with the 90th anniversary of Ducati, the Misano World Circuit with as many as 81,000 people inside the racetrack in a weekend full of excitement, fun and entertainment!

Invited by Ducati we have had the opportunity to fully live these three days dedicated to the Red. Red but not only! The slogan for this event was in fact “More than Red” to remember that beyond the historical roots in racing, Ducati is now even more, thanks to new models that have been able to cover different segments, such as XDiavel, the Multistrada 1200 Enduro but also the new Scrambler Sisty2 400 and Flat Track Pro.

“More than Red” because they were also present Audi Sport and Lamborghini to delight the audience giving them the thrill of a ride as passengers on their jewelry as R8 and Huracán. An event that is started with the largest and most spectacular parade on Friday night in which thousands of bikes have spent a good half hour just to get on the track! Unbelievable! The audience was undoubtedly the star, in fact, going around in the paddock, the numerous fans could have test drive, meet the Superbike and MotoGP champions and much more.

The champions have given show during all three days, remaining always available for photos and autographs. In fact, many entertainment activities that have seen riders like Dovizioso, Stoner or even great champions of the past as Bayliss, entertain and excite.

The first competition dedicated to them was the Flat Track Race by TIM. In the Misano track it is in fact staged a real battle aboard the Scrambler that saw him win Dovizioso in the final with Bayliss. Amazing to see up close what they are capable of doing these great champions with two wheels! But that’s not all!

On Saturday, the richest day of the public and events, that is the great parade of all the Ducati riders racing applications and historical drivers who were not spared wheelies and outgassing sending the audience into a frenzy. Another great treat, the Diavel Drag Race by Shell Advance. A real contest of acceleration between the pilots! Creepy! Eventually it was Scott Redding to beat in the sprint Casey Stoner in a final full of burnout!

On Saturday night, on the stage of the stadium, here they are again the Ducati samples with the all-new 1299 Panigale S Anniversary, motorcycle dedicated to 90 years of Ducati, in a limited edition in 500 units and equipped the new Traction Control System and Wheelie Control EVO , plus a dedicated kit for use on the track. A real monster of power with style and beauty that distinguish the Ducati bikes.

An event really successful really full of surprises! People from around the world rushed in Misano Adriatico to celebrate 90 years of Ducati in this incredible weekend, carrying 10 000 laps, 121 different activities in the paddock, 72 hours of driving school, 700 test ride and more, without exclude the lucky 5000 who, after hours of tail, could admire exclusive premiere the new Supersport Ducati, which will be presented only in the future.

A real gift for fans! The World Ducati Week was a real invasion of bikers and enthusiasts not only for the Misano World Circuit but for the entire Adriatic coast, with the roar of the motorcycles of Ducati who were well recognizable even to several km from the circuit. What a show!
