Today we are driving a Jeep Compass for a review! The Compact SUV segment has been growing rapidly in recent years, which is why Jeep decided to create a vehicle like the Compass.
The Jeep Compass is a compact SUV that combines a lot of technology with a wide range of driver assistance systems available to the driver. These cutting-edge features are also enhanced by its modern and innovative design.
To test its characteristics, here we are on a dirt road near Castelfalfi, in Tuscany. The typical landscape of Tuscany surrounds us while we are driving Jeep Compass. The clear sky of this warm winter day can only make our Sunday afternoon even more special. As the sun goes down, we find a perfect place to stop and admire this car.
The exterior design is certainly pleasant, refined and contemporary. On the front you immediately notice the classic Jeep grid. To complete the look there are two Bi-Xeno front lights. Below, we find the daytime lights and fog lights. Looking at the side of the Jeep Compass here we find the classic trapezoidal wheel arches and the logo on the side door. At the rear it’s impossible not to notice the rectangular LED headlights that, thanks to their design, give an aggressive look to the vehicle. The icing on the cake of this particular model for the test drive is also the panoramic glass roof that enriches the driving experience giving the car a greater sense of freedom typical of the Jeep brand.
Stepping on board the Jeep Compass you are surrounded by soft leather and a lot of technology. On the dashboard we find two analogue indicators with a large LCD screen at the centre for all driving information. In the central console we find a comfortable LCD screen for the infotainment and all the car’s functions control.
Some features are controllable with the physical buttons at the bottom, anyway all vehicle controls are controllable through the screen. Under the physical buttons, we find the controls for off-roading.
The comfort on board is assured by the excellent seats, heated and ventilated, by the automatic dual-zone air conditioning system, by the powerful Beats audio system and by all the driving aids. Turning on the powerful Jeep Compass’ 2.0 MultiJet diesel engine and starting to drive, the first thing you’ll notice is the high driving position.
At the wheel of the Jeep Compass, in fact, you really have the feeling of dominating the road. Those who love a soft and comfortable driving attitude, driving the Jeep Compass will not be disappointed. Every roughness of the road, in fact, is effectively damped by the shock absorbers. The downside of such comfort is however the presence of rolling and yawing during load transfers also because the height of the car. Nothing to worry about in any case, the Jeep Compass always ensure a great safety and road holding, thanks also to the all-wheel drive.
All driving aids also help the driver in every situation and increase active safety on board. Off-road, the possibility to choose different setups depending on the road surface and the possibility to bloack the differentials (also manually), make it an excellent off-road weapon.
While the sun gives us a spectacular sunset, we can only admire, for some last shot, this Jeep Compass. Jeep Compass is the ideal car for the family, with the possibility of being able to tackle off-road or snow-covered routes without any problem, in a total comfort always offered by Jeep cars.
